The PA Department of Revenue originated in 1927 and began operating in 1929. Its mission is to administer the tax laws of the Commonwealth in a fair and equitable manner. The Department of Revenue also administers the Pennsylvania State Lottery, which generates funds for programs that benefit older Pennsylvanians. |

The Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) is a professional association of more than 19,000 CPAs working together to improve the profession and better serve the public interest. Founded in 1897, the PICPA is the second-oldest and fifth-largest state CPA organization in the United States. Membership includes practitioners in public accounting, industry, government, and education. Headquartered in Philadelphia, PICPA has a government relations office in Harrisburg and a western regional office in Pittsburgh. |
